The CALFED Science Program is preparing to make $8 million in Proposition 84 funds available for competitive research grants through its upcoming 2009 Proposal Solicitation Package, expected to be released in December. Final comments on research topics are due Friday.

The authors of the recent Public Policy Institute of California report, "Comparing Futures for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta," will discuss their report and participate in a question-and-answer session focusing on core technical information contained in the report's appendices. The workshop will be held November 12 and 13 at the CALFED Bay-Delta Program offices.

CALFED ISB Call

The CALFED Independent Science Board will meet November 18 by conference call from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The agenda will include discussion of the Delta Vision Strategic Plan and a follow up on an earlier discussion of the Interagency Ecological Program.
